Small Bathroom, Big Change: 5 Moves That Transformed a Redlands Master Bath
A 62 sq ft bathroom that felt cramped now feels like a spa. Here are the five design decisions that made the difference.

Square footage is not the same as feeling. This 62 sq ft primary bath in Redlands went from cramped and dated to a space that genuinely feels bigger. Five specific decisions did it.
1. Curbless walk-in shower
Removed the tub and built a curbless shower with linear drain. The visual flow of the floor tile into the shower made the room feel twice as open.
2. Frameless glass
No framed door, no shower curtain. Full frameless glass means you see through to the tile wall.
3. Full-height tile
Tile all the way to the ceiling on the shower wall, not stopped at 72 inches. Vertical lines lift the eye.
4. Floating vanity with LED toekick
The floor visually continues under the vanity. LED lighting at the toekick gives soft night lighting and adds depth.
5. Large format tile
Fewer grout lines, more visual calm. 24x48 floor tile replaced 12x12. Huge difference.
